Birgu, that forms with L-Isla and Bormla the "Three Cities", has today its old Maltese name Birgu again. Worth seeing is the Inquisitor’s Palace. In the only preserved Inquisitor’s Palace of Europe you can visit the prison cells, as well as the courtroom where the defendants were forced to step humbly in front of the Inquisitor.
