The small Island Comino has been mentioned since ancient times. Because of its wild thyme, the honey became very aromatic. In the mediaeval times prisoners was cultivated cumin at this island.
Therefore Comino has its name from the cumin herb, that once flourished on the island
Comino was a hunting ground for the knights in the past and also a cranny for the pirates.
