Malta is a member of the European Union, for intra-community trade, there are no quantity restrictions on goods for the personal needs.
If the following quantities are exceeded, you may need to be provided proof that these products are not intended for commercial purposes: 800 cigarettes, 400 cigarillos, 200 cigars, smoking tobacco, 1000g, 10 litres of spirits, 20 litres of intermediate products (such as Campari, Port, Madeira, sherry) , 90 litres of wine (including a maximum of 60 litres of sparkling wine), 110 litres of beer.
