Rabat

This town next to Mdina is a lively but still traditional place with a lot of shops, a vegetable market and bars.

Rabat

The museum for Roman antiquities includes the leftovers of a villa dating back to year 1 AC, excavated in 1881. There you will find statues, mosaics and glass from various Roman epoques.

The St. Paul’s Grotto is situated underneath of the parish church.
In the central hall of the St. Paulīs catacombs, 4 meters underground are 2 Agape tables earlier used for the Christian Last Supper. Henceforward various narrow corridors lead into a grave labyrinth.

Especially interesting are several frescos, extraordinary well-maintained outside Rabat.
The complex around Agatha church is in charge of the church and only to be visited in a guided tour.
